EMERGE : JAPAN 2024 Market Insights and Matching Network : As part of our 2024 programmes we are conducting deeptech market research across japan and build a diverse network of Japanese potential matching companies for inbound deeptech companies. For the semicon and advanced manufacturing industries, we are focusing on Kyushu. To this end, together with our strategic partner YouPlanning from Kumamoto, Japan, we participated in the Kumamoto "Industrial Revitalization" Expo 2024 from February 28th to 29th. At this event we exhibited graduates form our 2023 EMERGE Programmes and gathered important market intelligence and business networks. Our research continues in Osaka and Tokyo through the early part of 2024.

EMERGE:Japan One2One "Deeptech Edition" from Taiwan
Industrial Development Administration, Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs
The EMERGE:Japan One2One Deeptech 2024 programme sponsored by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Administration will run from April to October 2024. The programme focuses on 4 Deeptech thematic areas : Autonomous Vehicle technology, Sensors and Systems (IoT), AI servers and systems and Advanced Chip Manufacture. We will march up to 25 Taiwenese and Japanese medium-sized companies and set them on the way to long-term partnership. Our work includes Japan market research, Taiwanese cohort recruiting and business matching meetings at major Deeptech expos in Japan and online.

EMERGE:Japan One2One "Deeptech Edition" from Taiwan

This programme was sponsored by the Institute for Information Industry (III) was run by our Taiwan and Japan team from April to October 2024. Out of 200 companies reviewed, we conducted researches to understand Japanese companies needs and we selected 10 companies from across Taiwan's IoT, AI, Chip Design and Software innovation industries to match with the Japanese companies following their needs. Our dedicated team of Japanese, Taiwanese and international matching consultants worked with each company to find the best possible match for opportunities in collaboration or funding. Our selected companies achieved a business match to take their business in Japan to the next level.

EMERGE:Japan Premium "Deeptech Edition" from Taiwan
SMEA (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan)
The EMERGE:Japan "Premium Edition" ran from June to October 2023. Out of 63 companies, 20 companies with successful domestic products and interest in the Japanese market will be selected from across Taiwan's technology innovation industries. All companies first completed the local TRAINING and REVIEW programme. The local programme included Business Seminars, POC and POP Workshops, Market Readiness Assessment reporting and a competitive pitch . Five companies passed into the the overseas after a competive ptiching session in Taipei judged by Japanese and Taiwanese mentors and stakeholders. 1. All Aspect System 鎮鑫科技股份有限公司 2. LongGood Meditech Ltd. 龍骨王股份有限公司 3. Simugro 歐亞新有限公司 4. Bee Inventor 點子建 5. Uniigym 優力勁聯股份有限公司 The overseas programme, conducted from July to November, focused companies on business results in the Japanese market through curated business matching meetings, site visits, one-one mentoring and VIP invitations to trade and business events. All 5 companies were matched to at least 2 partners in Japan from corporates, to financial institutions to universities. Following the completion of the programme selected companies were given the chance to have One2One business support to strengthen their position.

The EMERGE:Japan One2One programme sponsored by the Taiwan Ministry of Digital Affairs was run by our Taiwan and Japan team from July to December 2023. Out of 500 comapnies reviewed companies, we selected 10 companies from across Taiwan's IoT, AI, Chip Design and Software innovation industries. Our dedicated team of Japanese, Taiwanese and international matching consultants worked with each company to find the best possible match. Every company achieved a business match to take their business in Japan to the next level

EMERGE:Japan Premium "Deeptech Edition" from Hong Kong
The EMERGE:Japan “KGAP+ Edition” 2023 @ Cyberport ran from April to November 2023. Over 100 companies with successful domestic products and interest in the Japanese market applied for the programme. All companies that joined completed an intensive programme in Hong Kong (2 months) and in Japan (3 months) The EMERGE programme includes training, POC and POP workshops, pitching and pitching feedback, demo days at major events, Market Readiness Assessment, and business matching and introductions. This EMERGE programme is also endorsed by Cyberport; this allows companies who complete the programme to apply for a 75% subsidy on their programme fee.

EMERGE:Hong Kong One2One "Deeptech Edition" from Japan
The JETRO (Japan External Trade Organisation) Global Acceleration Hub is a platform run for Japanese startups by JETRO Tokyo to assist them in overseas market understanding and expansion. Companies can apply for membership by submitting their company details. In March 2022, JETRO selected our Emerge Hong Kong platform as its outbound partner for Hong Kong market entry. Under this project all startups subscribed in GAH and interested in the Hong Kong market are referred to the Emerge Hong Kong team for one-one consulting and business matching. EMERGE:Spain : Catalonia Premium "Deeptech Edition" from Japan
KGAP+, ATR, Keihanna Science City, Kyoto
From 2018-2019, MOJO worked for ATR to plan and launch the KGAP+ Acceleration programme for tech companies with ATR Japan. With the experience of Batch 1 & 2, MOJO continues to support the ATR team in the 2020 programme. The first stage was a round of international online pitch events from Spain, India, Canada and Hong Kong. The second stage was a whole day of activities led from Japan with the best companies joining from the same countries. The planning and execution of online events requires new skills and offers audiences a new kind of experience. MOJO has been leading O2O events since 2007. Key elements of our online events are : Live Q and A, Voting, Consistent Brand Materials, Whole-day sessions with walk-in, walk-out planning and in some case, VR experiences.

EMERGE:Barcelona One2One "Investment Edition" from Hong Kong
The Mojo Hong Kong and Barcelona teams were asked to create an engaging business matching event in Hong Kong. From the moment the guests receive their online invitation, the event showcased the latest in Catalonian and Hong Kong smart ingenuity. An online and offline meeting device called the Mojo-Poken ensures meaningful and effective connections; the very recipe of international business success. Dynamic cultural exchange is promoted through the five senses (plus the heart) by immersive multimedia displays, an energetic live chef-show, delicious Catalan canapés and interactive engagements that deliver many wonderful surprises. We call this experience @connect. The event was attended by over 150 local and Catalan Guests and was features in media coverage across Catalonia, Europe and Hong Kong.
